Landmark Tower LP is a Texas firm owned by Professional Engineers.  We design and manage construction of self-supported steel lattice towers up to 2000 feet (610 meters) tall.  We have over thirty years experience and dozens of standing towers.

Landmark Towers are typically large and are selected for location in major population centers.  These towers are used primarily as broadcast facilities, but have many other uses.  Their advantages are as follows:

• ATTRACTIVE APPEARANCE.  Landmark Tower legs are all curves.  They look good, so they contribute to a city’s reputation as true landmarks in the tradition of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

• LESS LAND.  Landmark Towers are typically triangular, with a bottom width of about 20% of the tower height.  Thus a 1000-foot (305-meter) tower will fit on an 8/10-acre (1/3 hectare) site.  By comparison, a similar guyed tower will require a 22-acre (8.7 hectare) site.

• LESS COST.  The lower portions of Landmark Towers consist of three separate trusses.  This reduces the amount of steel and cost because the full face width does not need to be spanned by lacings.  The trusses can also spread wider at the bottom to allow a smaller and less expensive foundation to resist overturning forces.

• STRONG.  Landmark Towers have withstood direct hits from hurricanes and tornados for over thirty years without a failure.  The steel is completely hot-dip galvanized and field bolted to provide a minimum life of fifty years, even in marine environments.

Every Landmark Tower is custom designed for the needs of the client.  They can have multiple uses with skypods and elevators, and can even be enclosed to create occupied space.  They are designed for wind, ice and earthquake loads, as well as other special static and dynamic load conditions.  Tell us what you need, and we will design it.
